Slitting

A slitting machine takes a large master roll of material metal, unwinds it, maintains consistent tension and alignment through brake systems and edge guides, and then uses sharp rotary blades to cut the wide roll into narrower strips. Scrap edges may be removed during the process, while the newly slit strips are rewound onto individual cores with uniform tension to form smaller coils known as “mults.” Finally, the finished coils are inspected for quality and accuracy before being packaged for shipment or further use.

Cut To Length

A cut‑to‑length (CTL) machine converts large metal coils into flat sheets of specific lengths by uncoiling the material, passing it through a leveler to remove bends and imperfections, and feeding it forward with precision servo‑driven systems that measure the required length. Once the target length is reached, a shear cuts the strip transversely, and the sheets are transferred to an automatic stacker for neat piling and easy handling. Throughout the process, a PLC control system coordinates uncoiling, leveling, feeding, cutting, and stacking to ensure accuracy, speed, and consistency, delivering high‑quality sheets for diverse industrial applications.

Shearing

A shearing machine cuts metal by driving a sharp upper blade against a stationary lower blade with hydraulic, mechanical, or pneumatic power, creating shear stress that fractures the material along a straight line, similar to scissors. The process relies on precise blade clearance and often a rake angle to achieve clean cuts, while the sheet is firmly clamped and positioned by back gauges to ensure accuracy and stability. As the upper blade descends, concentrated force causes the metal to yield and fracture along the cutting line, after which the blade retracts quickly—often assisted by systems like nitrogen in hydraulic setups—allowing the cycle to repeat efficiently for consistent, high‑quality results.

Baling Machine

A steel baler works on the principle of hydraulic compression: scrap steel is loaded into a chamber, powerful hydraulic rams (cylinders) push from multiple directions (sides, top, main) to crush the metal into a dense block, which is then automatically or manually tied with wire/straps and ejected for efficient handling and recycling, converting bulky waste into uniform, furnace-ready blocks.
